Innovative Aging Initiative with Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi
TAMU-CC, Homestead Senior Management, LLC and RJD Corpus Christi, LLC, have agreed to collaborate on a senior living facility with the intent of providing an innovative quality of care to the community. This state-of-the-art facility is being built with the latest in sensor and computing technologies to enable healthcare research by TAMU-CC students, staff, faculty and third-party healthcare entities.
This living-lab environment will focus on investigating, developing, and evaluating technologies and best practices to serve the needs of older adults and others with physical and cognitive challenges.
Our goal is to develop an aging continuum of elder care for the healthcare industry by using proactive translational and interventional technologies and programs. In turn creating a culture of innovation that discovers effective solutions for aging with grace and dignity for the resident and those who serve them.
